Welcome to the Phunny Pharm

Hey there!

You've arrived at the Phunny Pharm, a blog I decided to create to make a pleasant parody of performing a prosperous pharmacy practice.

I'm a Pharmacist licensed to practice in Australia and in my short time have had to laugh at many events, situations, random occurrences, people, governments, other pharmacists, doctors, nurses, dispensing programmes etc. Most things I say may not necessarily be funny, but they may be 'phunny.' I define 'phunny' as an event that brings laughter to a pharmacist but not necessarily to those of the general public, then it becomes funny. Also, I'm not always funny/phunny - sometimes I do get real pissed off at things, then you can just laugh at me instead.

I've been a Pharmacist for nearly 4 years but have worked in various community Pharmacies for nearly 10 years. I have done many locums, currently I hold a steady position at one pharmacy. I've found making light of anything I can has eased the pain of becoming a Pharmacist as it is by no means easy and not as rewarding as it seemed when I began studying.

No meal breaks, long hours, weekend hours, early mornings, late nights, poorly transcribed prescriptions, low pay, lack of holidays/sick pay, demanding bosses, stupid people are all things I have had to come to terms with and are only the tip of the iceberg!
